It's hot; we're sitting in a cafe, drinking Coke with ice.
My husband says, "Right now, somewhere in the field, amidst the expanse, inhaling the scent of heated grass..."
I respond, "Yeah, chasing butterflies, stepping on a mine..."
If only there were a way to experience both, to feel and smell there, and then here.
Series: "Life in Avatar." The work is created using a mixed media technique, utilizing Dutch acrylic paints from Amsterdam and Italian fine-grained cotton canvas from Unico. The finish has a matte lacquer.
