The image represents the end of a legend Muisca, the princess of Guatavita when it emerges from the waters of the lagoon of the same name in the lunar station that indicates the legend, while it is venerated by 6 muiscas that carry supernaturally votive gold pieces of different cultures Mesoamerican regions of Colombia. Gold was for the Muiscas something of different value than for the Europeans, the painting alludes to an idyllic, almost adanic era before the arrival of the Spaniards to the continent.
