Acrylic on canvas with applications of handmade paper with moss mounted on them. and sewn as if connected by a red life line. The papers are like pieces from our primordial past. A man's shadow casts on the earth. We must ask ourselves are we to guard and care for the earth, holding it together or destroy it by our careless use. A feather is incorporated.

KATHRYN COOK HERNANDEZ
Kathryn Cook Hernandez, a native of Urich, Missouri, (recently returned from San Pedro Sula, Honduras) began her artistic career in 1980 after a dynamic and inspiring figure drawing course at a local community college. Her artistic trajectory has been inspired by artists that include classical masters as well as modern and post-modern artists, from Rembrandt to O\'Keefe and Jasper Johns, John Wiley.
