This print was inspired by Asian art. I left a great deal of open, negative space to balance out the composition. A chipping sparrow is a crisp, pretty sparrow whose bright, brick red cap both provides a splash of color. I saw this bird in a grassy marsh in the fall. Its loud, trilling songs made me long for spring.
