This work is inspired by a mythical character such as the Geishas, in that identity confused by the qualifications assigned to it, hence the interpretation that I made of her face without identity only focusing on the white makeup that gives her that coldness on her face , that silence, that secret
The works are realized applying a mixed technique and col.lage, on a base of canvas or wood.
The viewer wants me to feel that cold expression of the character. that uncertain identity that creates doubt.
I have chosen to make the GEISHA series because I am very interested in that character, and I am inspired by the attire that uses its color and that I try to capture with the textures and col.lage.
Soy Josep Pozo, nacido en Olot en 1971, una pequeña ciudad de aproximadamente 34,000 habitantes, rodeada de volcanes con vegetación espectacular en la provincia de Girona en Catalunya, España.
