The five birds perched on a barbed wire are a mixture of Vermillion Flycatchers and Red-Capped Robins. I spotted them in the winter, while resting in the snow. The gray neutral background enhances their vibrant red color.
Vermillion Flycatchers live in the Southwest region of the United States, and are spectacular and distinctive. The bright red Flycatcher perches conspicuously, and lives in scrub areas around riverbanks.
Red-capped Robins are also found in dry regions, but they live in Australia. The male has a distinctive red cap and red breast, black upper parts, and a black tail with white tips. The underparts and shoulders are white. He is wearing a \"tuxedo.\"
The low horizon line creates a calm effect that permeates an entire room.
