This delicate coloured pencil drawing captures a touching moment in the life of a penguin family. The picture shows two adult emperor penguins lovingly caring for their chick. The characteristic features of the emperor penguins have been worked out with great care. The fluffy chick in the centre is much smaller and lighter in colour, which emphasises its youth and vulnerability. It stretches its head upwards, while one of the parents leans down as if feeding or caressing the chick. The composition of the drawing is symmetrical and balanced, conveying a sense of harmony and security. This drawing is characterised by its attention to detail and emotional depth. It shows not only the physical features of the penguins, but also the tender bond between parents and offspring. It is a touching portrait of parental care in the harsh Antarctic environment.
Born 1967 in Zurich, Switzerland, first exhibition 2003, in 2006 I began to paint oil colour on velvet. I like to play with the structure from the velvet. There is a special effect on the painting with velvet.
