At the centre of the picture is the peacock, whose body is depicted in a rich, shimmering blue. Its long neck and characteristic head with the small crown of feathers are precisely worked out and give the bird a proud, upright posture. The highlight of the drawing is undoubtedly the peacock's magnificent wheel. The numerous tail feathers spread out in a fan shape around the body and fill the background. Each individual feather is carefully drawn, with the typical "eyes" in shades of blue and green, surrounded by delicate shades of yellowish-green. The transitions from blue to green and yellow in the feathers are fluid and lifelike. The contrast between the intense blue of the body and the lighter, shimmering tones of the plumage lends the picture depth and vibrancy. The drawing captivates with its attention to detail and at the same time with a certain lightness, which is achieved through the coloured pencil technique.
Born 1967 in Zurich, Switzerland, first exhibition 2003, in 2006 I began to paint oil colour on velvet. I like to play with the structure from the velvet. There is a special effect on the painting with velvet.
