Inugami significa "dios perro".
Considerado un tsukimono (entidad capaz de poseer a las personas o embrujarlas).
Las leyendas lo asocian al Oeste del Japón Occidental.

Junto a a él esta un Shirachigo, (llamado "niño blanco") se relaciona al inugami como un discípulo o sirviente (aunque en Japandemonium discrepa de esa asociación).
A su vez es u termino aplicado a personas con alguna clase de deficiencia mental.
