This drawing presents a fascinating geometric pattern in the shape of a church window. The composition consists of many intersecting circles and lines that create numerous differently shaped segments. Each of these segments is filled with a different bright colour, including red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and various pastel shades. The upper part of the picture is more circular and is reminiscent of a rose or a mandala. The pattern tapers towards the bottom and ends in a point, imitating the characteristic shape of a Gothic church window. The coloured pencil technique used contrasts with the dark background. The black lines outlining the coloured segments reinforce this effect. Overall, the artwork radiates a hypnotic, kaleidoscopic quality. It invites the viewer to lose themselves in the details and explore the harmony of the colours and shapes.
Born 1967 in Zurich, Switzerland, first exhibition 2003, in 2006 I began to paint oil colour on velvet. I like to play with the structure from the velvet. There is a special effect on the painting with velvet.
