This beautiful coloured pencil drawing captures the grace and dignity of a water bearer in a timeless moment. The warm yellow, orange and brown tones create a sun-drenched atmosphere, bathing the scene in a soft, morning light. At the centre of the picture is a woman in traditional costume, effortlessly balancing a large jug on her head. Her yellow-green robe shimmers in the light and emphasises her elegant posture. The raised arm supporting the jug lends the composition a dynamic note.
Born 1967 in Zurich, Switzerland, first exhibition 2003, in 2006 I began to paint oil colour on velvet. I like to play with the structure from the velvet. There is a special effect on the painting with velvet.
