The surface of the moon is depicted in various shades of rusty red, orange and brown. Dark patches and shades indicate the numerous craters, canyons and mountain ranges. The planet floats in front of a deep dark background that represents outer space. A few tiny white dots could be interpreted as distant stars and reinforce the cosmic impression.
Born 1967 in Zurich, Switzerland, first exhibition 2003, in 2006 I began to paint oil colour on velvet. I like to play with the structure from the velvet. There is a special effect on the painting with velvet.
