This fascinating painting shows a beautiful depiction of the dwarf planet Pluto, floating in the dark cosmos. The surface of the planet is depicted in a variety of colours and textures. The dark background enhances the contrast and makes the planet literally stand out from the canvas. A few tiny white dots in the background suggest stars and reinforce the impression of outer space. Overall, the work conveys a powerful mixture of realism and artistic interpretation.
Born 1967 in Zurich, Switzerland, first exhibition 2003, in 2006 I began to paint oil colour on velvet. I like to play with the structure from the velvet. There is a special effect on the painting with velvet.
