This diptych composed of two pieces that are projected before a mirror and establish a silent dialogue between them. A before and after, marked by that "thin line" in which the Covid placed us.
Life, death.
Freedom, isolation.
The courage, the fear.
As an artist she was so superb that I looked at my work and broke with everything I had learned up to that moment, I took my paintings, manipulated them and discarded them, trying to take a step beyond what was established. I called it "De-build".
(Now this seems to me a metaphor applied to the human being).
The Covid-19 came and stopped everything, froze the moments, the ideas, the mind, the projects, the adventures and made us look inside, slowly. Time did not pass and the world stopped abruptly.
When this happened, our creativity, struggling to live, took a step forward and looked for color, shape, joy, the free brushstroke and painted with all its strength, a message of joy, the will to live, to get ahead and is when he could see his reflection in the mirror of "Hope".
