Es considerado uno de los más encantadores y bien conservados pueblos la Axarquía (Málaga), con sus estrechos y sinuosos callejones, y encaladas casas repletas de plantas y flores típicas del Mediterráneo, y sus cientos de escalones que son herencia de su pasado árabe. El centro histórico de Frigiliana fue declarado Complejo de Interés Artístico en el año 2014.
