VINCENT VAN GOGH: BEDROOM REMDERING
A perspective drawing by Catherine Jaggi, whose rendering of the original painting by Van Gogh of his bedroom, introducing personages and a unique painting technique. A few small portions of the painting use collage, inset to enhance her presentation drawing from the original work.
Van Gogh created his famous Bedroom painting in the winter of 1888. He traveled Arles, a town in the south of France. There he hoped to start a “Studio of the South” where painters could live and work together creating art in a region with more direct sunlight than Paris; this reminded Vincent of the landscapes he admired in Japanese prints.
At 48 x 60 inches, the bedroom rendering painting by Catherine is a veritable masterpiece. She has also produced giclee prints of all her works, using 7 color archival quality ink on archival cotton duck papers. All materials from print to packaging are acid free, and can be expected to last at least a century..
