Aproximación al mito de Heracles, sus trabajos y a los volumenes escultóricos del cuerpo. En este caso al Heracles más florentino. Se trata de Heracles vencedor de Caco, el medio gigante, medio satiro. Caco ( termino se ha convertido en sinónimo de ladrón) era conocido por devorar humanos y robar ganado. Virgilio en la Eneida nos relata como Heracles le vence tras derrotar a Gerión.
El dibujo parte de un apunte tomado en la PIaza de la Signoria, Florencia, del complejo escultórico de Baccio Bandinelli.
