An Art Nouveau piece inspired by the tale of the Prince of Tosa, named Yamanouchi Kadzutoyo. "The Prince and the Badger" is a popular Japanese folktale about a badger who takes on the form of a beautiful woman to deceive the prince Kadzutoyo and marry him. The prince eventually discovers the badger's true identity and banishes her, but she later returns to help him and proves her loyalty by sacrificing herself. The story teaches the importance of trust and loyalty, and the consequences of deception.
