Artwork description

One well-known sacred Sakura tree legend in Japan is the story of Princess Konohana Sakuya, who was the goddess of Mount Fuji and symbolized the delicate beauty of cherry blossoms. According to the legend, she was born from a fiery sword and descended to earth to marry a mortal prince named Ninigi. As a symbol of her love and devotion to Ninigi, she planted a single cherry blossom tree on the summit of Mount Fuji. Today, the tree is considered sacred and is believed to grant wishes and bring good luck to those who visit it during the springtime blooming season.
