La historia; Esteban y Verónica están comprometidos, sus amigos, que se ven saludando en el fondo de la imagen, les han hecho un gran obsequio de bodas. Algo tan extraordinario como inesperado. La cara de alegría y estupor que exteriorizan nuestros protagonistas reflejan sus emociones a flor de piel. El sitio donde se encuentran es una cancha de vóley. Detrás de ellos se observa la red y a un costado una copa apoyada sobre una peana de madera con una pelota en el interior. Como es costumbre, la técnica utilizada en la obra imita a la pintura al óleo.
