The picture shows an atmospheric sunset of the large, bright orange-coloured sun in the sky. The sun dominates the upper half of the picture and shines in warm yellow and orange tones, surrounded by a light haze. The sky is coloured in intense violet tones. This intense violet colouring lends the picture a mysterious, almost magical atmosphere. In the lower part of the picture, the dark silhouettes of trees and bushes can be recognised, standing out against the night sky. Their blurred contours emphasise the dreamy character of the scene. The painting style is expressive, with visible brushstrokes that lend the work movement and vibrancy. The contrasts between the warm and cool colours and between light and shadow create a fascinating visual tension.
Born 1967 in Zurich, Switzerland, first exhibition 2003, in 2006 I began to paint oil colour on velvet. I like to play with the structure from the velvet. There is a special effect on the painting with velvet.
