This oil painting shows the iconic desert landscape of Monument Valley. A vast, ochre-coloured desert plain stretches out in the foreground, interspersed with rolling hills and sparse vegetation. A narrow, light-coloured path winds its way through the barren landscape. I wonder where it leads? The eye-catcher of the picture are three majestic table mountains rising on the horizon. These characteristic rock formations tower imposingly into the bright blue sky. Their reddish-brown colour tones contrast effectively with the intense blue of the sky. The painting style is realistic, with fine details in the texture of the desert floor and the shades of the rock formations. The colour palette ranges from warm earth tones in the foreground to cool blues in the sky, creating a harmonious yet dramatic composition.
Born 1967 in Zurich, Switzerland, first exhibition 2003, in 2006 I began to paint oil colour on velvet. I like to play with the structure from the velvet. There is a special effect on the painting with velvet.
