In this work, I wanted to capture the mysterious and theatrical essence of Venice through the eyes of a masked character, embodying the carnival. The rich texture of the oil intensifies the vivid colors and intriguing shadows, inviting the viewer to lose themselves in the emotional mazes of the city. This painting is an invitation to explore not only Venice, but also the stories hidden behind every mask and every water reflection.
As a young man , he went to the University of Louvain (Belgium) where he studied Philosophy and literature !
At the age of forty he took some drawing lessons at the technical school of Dinant( Belgium) for three years
