Without the ability to actualize an idea or concept, art would not exist. My work is a constant search for the best way to interpret the ideas that I have about myself and the world I live in. I do not limit myself to one medium, style, or concept. Each piece I create is simultaneously an extension from the past, where I've come from and what I've learned, as well as a preview of the future, where I'm going. I like the idea that form doesn't necessarily need a function, but I also like the idea that function has to work with form and form has to work with function.
Born on November 16, 1995, in Tbilisi, Georgia, GELA MIKAVA is an artist with a unique multidisciplinary approach, blending architectural precision with artistic innovation. With a foundation rooted in both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture from the prestigious Technical University, MIKAVA’s work reflects a seamless fusion of architectural principles and artistic freedom.
