This colourful oil painting shows a lively depiction of a fox hunt. The riders are depicted in different positions, adding movement and dynamism to the scene. A pack of hounds runs in front of the horses. The background is dominated by lush autumn foliage in bright shades of yellow, orange and green. The trees form a natural frame for the group of riders and reinforce the impression of a forest scene. The contrast between the lush green of the grass and the warm autumn colours of the trees creates a harmonious but vibrant colour palette. Great emphasis has been placed on detail, from the individual facial features of the riders to the careful depiction of the horses and dogs. The brushwork varies between precise strokes for the figures and looser, impressionistic techniques for the foliage and background. Born 1967 in Zurich, Switzerland, first exhibition 2003, in 2006 I began to paint oil colour on velvet. I like to play with the structure from the velvet. There is a special effect on the painting with velvet.
