Né à Cuba, Eduardo Manet est français depuis 1979. Prix du Goncourt des lycéens pour L'île du lézard vert en 1992, Prix Interallié en 1996 pour Rhapsodie cubaine (Grasset), Prix du Roman d'Evasion en 1999 pour D'amour et d'exil (Grasset), il a publié également La sagesse du singe (Grasset, 2001) et Maestro ! (Robert Laffont, 2002, Prix du Télégramme de Brest).

Angela Mejias is self taught.

Born in 1958 in Valdelacalzada (Extremadura), grew up in France, first living in the Gers and later in Hendaye, a border town that has since been its home port.
