Artwork description

The displacement and construction of habitable space is a recurrent theme in my art practice. It reflects man's search for 'home' in an inhospitable world. I am drawn to construction sites, road works- a place of transformation which allows one to contemplate their origin, and speculate the future.

Tessa Mo is a UK - based artist. She is deeply interested in the interlinked ideas of architectural space and metaphysics. This is depicted in both figurative and 'abstract' works. In her most recent painting, she is exploring ways to utilise the canvas as a piece of origami.
