Made for an exhibition at Jersey Galleries, curated by Andrea Tierney. The work is an homage to refugees losing their life at sea. Initially formulated as a longstanding desire to make a work about the Irish Coffin ships of the 1830's. When thousands died of famine and those who were able to emigrated to the United States of America.
