No Mundial do México de 1970, eram lançados pombos como símbolo da paz antes do início dos jogos.
Nesta pintura o homem que larga os Pombos é um grande johador da época e coleccionador de Pombos, o Português José Torres. A seu lado, aparece a minha sobrinha Elisabete.
