In TRANSMITTING, a machine-like structure dominates the canvas. It represents the 'dove', the supply tube that played a vital role in the Chilean miner rescue operation in 2010. I am interested in the apocalyptic aspect in scenarios such as the delivery of foodstuff in canisters through a narrow borehole. A futuristic image is created in response, which mythologises the original incident.
