El río cruza la ciudad de Córdoba partiendola en dos sectores, que con las crecidas ocasionaba grandes problemas. Se solucionó encausando el río con material
construyendo puentes en cruces de calles.
la cañada es el símbolo de la ciudad de Córdoba.Argentina.
