En el marco del Hinduismo, Agni (del vocablo sánscrito agni:?Fuego?) es el dios védico del ?Fuego Creador?. Junto con Indra y Surya conforman la trinidad védica y posteriormente reemplazada por la trinidad puránica de Brahma, Vishnu y Siva.
A Agni se lo representa con dos rostros (lo que sugiere efectos beneficiosos y destructivos), ojos y cabello negro, tres piernas y siete brazos. Su vehículo simbólico es un macho cabrio.
