Manuel Romero Cabestany, (firma artística: CABESTANY), nacido en Barcelona. Empezó sus estudios de dibujo y pintura de la mano de su tio, el artista pintor Alfonso Oliver Ferrer. Mas tarde cursó 3 años de dibujo y 5 de pintura en el Estudio-Academia "Los Ángeles", del maestro pintor académico Murcia-Valcarcel.
