"Es un monstruo semejante en su aspecto a un gato. Armado de una uña agudísima en la cola. Vive en la profundidad de las aguas y sale a los pasos de los ríos y a las orillas de las grandes lagunas a matar hombres y animales. Para envolverlos se estira como una culebra."
El Mito corresponde a la isla de Chiloé al sur de Chile.
