Es el retrato realizado a tinta china, en trazo aleatorio, del insigne Licenciado Mario Calderón Herrera, quien fue Decano de la Facultad de Humanidades de la Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala. Vilmente asesinado el 15 de Julio de 2008, por esos seres de mentalidad retorcida que tanto daño hacen a la inteligencia y al humanismo. Esta irreparable perdida me conmovió por haber sido mi catedrático en los años de estudios de Arte. Descanse en paz.

My name: Maugdo Vasquez, was born on June 14 1,959 in the capital city of Guatemala. Having been born to peasant parents, seven years he traveled to live Moyuta municipality in the department of Jutiapa. The countryside, horses, cows, cuts coffee and corn tapisca accompanied me in my growth. Since that time I started to feel a deep concern for art.
