En la zona norte del Perú habitan, desde tiempos remotos, unos reptiles que formaron parte de la dieta de los primeros pobladores de esta zona, en el cuadro se representa en forma irónica, la danza del cañan o los saltitos que esto realizaban al ser arrojados vivos al rescoldo, para luego ser disecados y comerlos tipo cesina, actualmente lo siguen realizando...
