Rafael Rasillo was born in Palencia (Spain). He graduated in Geography and History and obtained a specialization in History of Art at Salamanca University.
He started painting when he was still a child and he considers himself a self-learner as to his artistic education. His “Naif” style arises from his own and personal experience as he never attended any formal art school nor followed any rules as he considered them remote from his feeling of art and freedom.
