La Estancia Santa Cándida está ubicada algo escondida, a orillas del Río Uruguay, muy cerca de Concepción del Uruguay. Este famoso saladero a vapor perteneció a Justo José de Urquiza. Santa Cándida, nombre puesto en honor a su madre, era un casco de estancia, que llegó a ser el más importante en sudamérica, en el año 1847 rodeada de un exuberante parque autóctono, es considerada el Veneto entrerriano en Argentina.
