Artwork description

Pertenece a la colección privada de José Manuel Porqueras Mazano. Cristo en Majestad, indicando que es la Luz del Mundo (Ego sum lux mundi). Siempre me impresionó esta imagen de románico, ahora en el MNAC (Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya), despegada de la pared de la iglesia de Sant Climent, que se pintó en la primera mitad del siglo XII y se arrancó en 1920 para guardarla primeramente en La Ciudadella y a partir de 1934 en el Museu de Montjuit.
Esta reproducción está sobre teja de pequeñas dimensiones, (20 X 10 cms, aproximadamente), con óleos. La teja es castellana, de Tierra de Campos, de un viejo palomar ya derruído.

Porqueras Salvador was born in Villanueva del Campo (Zamora) in 1959. Some years later his parents Mark and definitively settle Felisa Castroverde de Campos, and a few years beginning in Toro Elementary Secondary Education and then ends in Valdez (León) the Baccalaureate.
