A Dios nadie le ha visto jamás, dice la Biblia, Jesucristo es quien le ha dado a conocer en su humanación. Para el artista judeo-cristiano es difícil hacer una representación del Dios único puesto que Dios es Espíritu. Pero con la descripción bíblica y con los antecedentes de Miguel Angel es establecer un esbozo de la actitud de Dios en el contexto de que se trate. Aquí, en su aparición a Moisés, como artista uno trata de dibujar la escena donde el Todopoderoso aparece dando los Diez mandamientos. Todo producto de la imaginación humana.
