Una pareja de catrines. Las calaveras y esqueletos simbolizan el estado de la vida después de la muerte: la completa liberación. Sin la "piel" las personas dejan de sentir frío, calor, hambre, sed, necesidad de afecto etc... Para el mexicano, estar muerto es ser completamente libre y abandonar el sufrimiento de la condición humana.

Artist information

ANA CASTILLO ELENA Moreno was born in the city of Torren, Coahuila, Mexico on July 26, 1937. He began his artistic career at an early age he entered the School of Fine Arts in his hometown, but for various personal circumstances postergel development of artistic activity. Training will complete the city of Puebla, Mexico, where he currently resides. Painting Workshops attended the House of Culture, taking classes in sculpture and talavera.
