Artwork description

Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, beauty and fertility, played a very significant role in mythology. In her role as patron of the deity of love, she assisted humans and divine loves.

? Homer counts (author of the Iliad and the Odyssey) that when the lovers gave themselves up to passion at dawn, in the bed of Aphrodite, Ephesus, jealous, had set a trap because the Sun had told him that his beloved I had been unfaithful ...

Note:
I would like to highlight an aspect that is represented horizontally in the painting: that of the looks and that of the expressions of the three protagonists. These expressions find the meaning in the mythology itself. Does Greek mythology tell that Zeus descended from Olympus in the form of a swan to meet his beloved Leda? However, she found her sporadic lover giving herself with pleasure to the passions, without realizing that Zeus, in the form of a swan, was observing her.

The looks are the fury of Zeus and the unbridled passion of Leda
