The famed painter Diego de Velázquez was the creator of the «Las meninas», painted in the year 1656 and currently preserved the Prado Museum of Madrid.
It is one of the paintings most analyzed and commented.
It was praised by some artists and travellers who had the opportunity to see him at the Palace, but is from his exhibition the Prado Museum, in the year 1819, when he acquired real international fame
The loyalty \"of the captured moment\' is considered an advance on the realism of photography.
The figure of the \"menina\" has been interpreted by many modern artists.
That I expose is made with pasta, oxides and after with acrylic paint.
