Artwork description

This singular majolica box is entirely hand made and finished on potters wheel. It’s good for jewellery, as candles holder, incenses or for anything else you can think of but food. The lid fits perfectly with the irregular undulation of the base creating just one shape. Glazed in leaded brilliant black decorated with inlayed multi-colored glass flower. Dishwasher safe. The number below shows it’s hunicity.

Matilde si laurea in Lettere Moderne all’Università di Firenze. Scopre solo tardivamente il suo interesse per la creta quando conosce Amalia Ciardi Dupré. Grazie a Lei viene a contatto diretto con l’ambiente della scultura nella Sua Bottega d’Arte, dove apprende i primi rudimenti e grazie a Lei espone, per la prima volta, in una collettiva nel maggio 2010.
