Después de que Doña Elena me dijo que Lety se había ido a Guadalajara pinté este cuadro.No creía entonces,y no lo creo ahora,que casarse sea la solución de los problemas personales.Por eso esta obra fue una manera de decirle a Lety que vaya a donde vaya siempre irá consigo misma.No hay manera de escapar de uno mismo.
Tiempo después,cuando supe que nada era cierto sobre su partida a Guadalajara,me sentí como in perfecto idiota.Pero finalmente,en vez de lamentarme y complicarme la existencia,esta pintura quedó como recuerdo de todo lo que sentí en aquella época.
I was born in the city of México.Estudié in several places as the CEA and ENAP, but I've always said that more than a school, I had maestros.Y these are my three teachers to whom I owe everything in the picture: Rosario Durán, Javier Anzures and Edgardo Kerlegand.
