Su hábitat se extiende desde el Yukón, en Canadá, hasta el sur de la cordillera de los Andes y la Patagonia, Argentina y Chile en América del Sur.
Me intereso pintar este bello animal ya que su especie se encuentra amenazada por la perdida de su hábitat a causa de la deforestación y la caza furtiva.
