Artwork description

This peace is made out from recycle automotive parts as the
crank shaft from a VW, originally designed by Dr. Porsche
for the Beetle in 1942, it is unique shape and balance
enhances the metal circle with the multilense, we have
mounted it in ball bearing to allow to turn from the flywheel base, and has a secondary 20 º swivel on the iron circle.
This multi-lens, made with floated ¾” hand carved glass, with a random bubble design is mounted into a Second Chance collection piece. Giving the piece a second chance for a better life. The artist enhanced the interesting parts of the piece with polished accents and coated it with a polyurethane satin finish.
Mariano Pérez Vivanco, owner of Glass Gallery M in Puerto Vallarta is an industrial designer and self-taught glass artist from Mexico City. He is now working on a new line of this multi-lens collection entitled Second Chance Collection, which combines glass with mechanic metal pieces transformed into cotemporary piece of art.
The multi-lens unique art is the personal stamp of this artist. His art is a clear expression of modern glass technology fused with recycled materials that creates exotic effects of the glass and the metal texture. This duality expresses two basic opposing forces that in the end complement each other naturally.

Professional studies in Industrial Design, he moved to Puerto Vallarta in 1990, to Art Glass and Crystal with a variety of different techniques in their own workshop in the leasing of the whales in Marian Vallarta, where they receive visitors.
