"La Dolorosa" cuadro religioso quiteño que representa a la virgen María sosteniendo en sus manos los clavos y la corona de espinas de Jesús. En el rostro se puede explicar esa mirada vacía e impasible por la fé. Según la historia en 1919 en el colegio San Gabriel de la ciudad de Quito, en una misa presenciada por estudiantes y religiosos la virgen soltó un par de lágrimas, por lo cuál se reconoció como acto milagroso por la misma iglesia católica.
