Artwork description

Faro de isla Lobeira, ubicado en la Ría de Corcubión. Se desconoce el origen de su nombre; puede ser debido a que habitaron en ellas lobos marinos, mientras que por otra parte, los marineros las consideraban un peligro para la navegación esperando escondidas como un lobo a que un barco chocase contra ellas.

Fueron escenario de varios naufragios, entre ellos dos barcos griegos, el Skuld en 1901 y el Polymia en 1904.
