Uno de los monumentos arquitectónicos más importantes de la ciudad de Ceuta, sirve como escusa para esta magnífica obra de arte. Se trata de una muralla que mantenía separa la zona del continente del resto de la ciudad. Ceuta está compuesta por una isla (donde se encuentra el Monte Hacho que se ve al fondo de la pintura y el centro de la ciudad) que se une al continente africano por dos puentes (el puente del Cristo, a la izquierda de la obra, y el de la playa de la Ribera, que no aparece), el foso de San Felipe es el elemento central en el que convergen estos puentes que conducen al epicentro de la Ciudad (donde se encuentran el palacio de la asamblea, la catedral, la plaza de la Virgen de África, etc.)

Artist information

He was born in Larache (Morocco), during the time of the Spanish Protectorate, in 1.952. With the 9 year-old age he moves to Ceuta, where it resides at the moment.
Their interest for the drawing and the painting dates from its childhood, beginning mainly with the artistic drawing based on pencils of colors and charcoals. With 11 years it participates in a competition organized by the city, getting the first prize.
